About the event

🌿🌤️❄️As the days continue to darken, there is a shift between the extroverted spring/summer period, which is all about play, pleasure, and connection, and the introverted fall/winter, which is a time for rest, intimate connection, solitude, and reflection.  Take time to go within, honor this celestial transition, and give gratitude for the symbolic bounty you have harvested this year.    If you are struggling to find things to be grateful for, this is a time to explore that.  Depression can make it difficult to be grateful, and a Tea Ceremony is a wonderful time to identify and explore the disharmony.  This sacred time during the equinox is when the veil between physical and spiritual is thin and we can communicate with our spirit guides more easily.  This is a time to give thanks and set new intentions.   Give yourself space to assess your current moment in life and contemplate your path forward in this Cha Dao sacred tea ceremony celebrating the Autumn Equinox.

🍵🫖‍Cha Dao Tea Ceremony

Tea has been used as medicine by ancient healers long before it became a social beverage.  Cha is the Chinese word for Tea.  Dao philosophy honors the principles of balance, grace, quietude, mindfulness, simplicity and harmony with nature, as outlined in the classic Chinese text Dao De Jing.  This simple and beautiful ceremony helps us to reconnect with nature.

🍵🧘🏼‍♀️☺After a brief introduction about the tea ceremony, participants will be given space for introspection and meditation during this wordless 1-hour ceremony. Several rounds of organic ceremonial grade Pu-erh tea from Southeast Asia will be served on a beautiful altar accompanied by healing music. After the ceremony, participants will have the option to connect and share their feelings and insights received during tea with the group. We sit on cushions on the floor for this event but special arrangements can be made for a chair if needed. Please message me ahead of time to request a chair. You may add an RSO cannabis infusion to your tea for deeper relaxation and insight.
